IN THE COUNTRY OF THE COWBOYS!

September 14th, 2010

My Texas visit was awesome. I want to thank all those who prayed for me.

I had the privilege of ministering at the Breakthrough Missions Conference of Calvary Commission held in their 180-acre ranch in Lindale: 2 – 5 September 2010. If you do not know where Lindale is, the place has been the famous headquarters of many international ministries like Mercy Ship, Teen Challenge and the Last Days Ministries initiated by the legendary Keith Green.

A PART OF THE AUDIENCE

“Into His Harvest” was the theme of the conference. The worship was full of life at every session. Calvary Commission partners from various parts of the world participated and shared the stories of God’s marvelous work done in their respective regions. The event was well coordinated and led by the International Directors  Joe and Charlotte Fauss (Hey, I want you to know how greatly I was blessed being a part of this annual gathering and thank you a lot for the privilege).

CHEESE IN DOG’S MOUTH

The quiet home of Bob Harcrow in Cedar Valley served as my abode the whole time I was in the area. Thanks Bob! You were a wonderful host (it took a while for me to understand why you would shove in a piece of cheese to your dog, Suzie’s mouth every day).

Prior to and after the conference, I visited New Covenant Church, Grace Fellowship and the Church of Living Hope. I am very grateful to the pastors for the open doors to speak in spite of church’s crowded schedule.

CUISINE FROM DIANE’S KITCHEN

I also made a quick trip to Chicago to meet with Evon and Diane, one of our faithful friends. Though I did not like the cold weather at night in the Windy city, the Indian cuisine from Diane’s kitchen was a real treat. Thanks guys!

COWBOY SHIRTS, COOL!

I have visited Texas umpteen times but this time I returned with a couple of shirts named after the cowboys. Cowboy shirts!  Cool!! It is really cool, when our boys like it.
